Mar 09, 2011 · I hit bedrock in the Nether when it first came out, although I don't remember if I was going up or down at the time. Repeat the process until you have the Obsidian for a 4x5 frame. Then, light the middle of the frame, and voila! A Nether Portal! Lava is a source block that burns a player or most mobs when they come in contact with it, causing the unfortunate being to seek out a form of water to extinguish the flames. Lava tends to be slow-flowing and thick in the Overworld, so most players can escape in time. In peaceful mode, lava is one of the main causes of death to a player, along with fall damage. Lava deals 4 damage (2x) per ... The light from light-emitting blocks decreases by one light-level for each meter (block) of distance from the light source. Jul 24, 2013 · The problem I'm having is that I have been walking forever trying to find the Nether Forress (I found once but died shortly after arriving) & I'm not really sure If I could find my way back, so I figured if I build a Nether Portal in the fortress and destroy the original Nether Portal then I was hoping that the new portal will link up with the overworld portal.
